!!
This chick is one of my new favorites. Look at the delicious fabrics she has designed and especially the fun and funky bags, shirts, etc. that she creates. I'm loving her newest, but the best part is she is giving it away! YEAH!! To one lucky blog reader goes the goods. So, check out her blog and comment on the post. You may be the lucky one and I'll be super jealous.

Fonts
So the other night Jared and I watched a whole documentary on Helvetica. Crazy, yes that is a hour or so that I'll never get back. But seriously it was somewhat interesting how fonts are created. Anyway, I came across this little clip and had to laugh. Wingdings! Sans Serif? Anyway, if you like fonts watch it.

Hi Ho It's Off to Work I Go
It's about the same time of year as back to school and here I am starting again. I'm trying out working one day a week. I thought it would be important to keep my skills going.
Yesterday was my first day and I was fretting about leaving Luke with a babysitter. I think I took too much-- all the stuff I think he may have needed, but I wanted him to have some familiar things.
Happily, the day went well. I wasn't hit with difficult patients or any other major problems at work. The best, though, was when I picked Luke up he was happy and all smiles. I was so relieved.
I don't know how you other working mommies do it!

Newport Beach
Daddy after some major boogie boarding. I tried it out too. Loved it, but it's a little more tricky with a big belly in your way.
This beach, Crystal Cove, was the one we went to since it was closest to the condo. It was beautiful and not too crowded as Laguna Beach can sometimes get. I guess parts of the movie Beaches was filmed here.
Honestly Luke wasn't a huge fan of walking on the sand, but how cute are those little fat feet?
This is how our little Luke spent his time on the beach. I think the sound of the waves and the air just zonks these little people right out. Yes, that is how he sleeps all the time.

Having Cake & Eating It Too
It all started out with a handsome (and fairly clean) little birthday boy.
But, then a beautiful culinary concoction entered his life...
Never having anything like this before, the exchange was hesitant at first.
But, the handsome boy soon realized that this was more delightful than anticipated and knew he would be loving every handful.
Ending up with one delicious, Birthday mess!

Update Pictures
Lovin' his tubby time! Bubbles? Check. Rubber Duckie?...hmmmm
OUCH! Life can be pretty tough on a little guy just learning to walk. I've gotten my share of "war wounds" as mom likes to call 'em. I'm also getting more curious about what's behind all those cabinets and drawers.
Did you ever just have one of those days?
Luke and Mom on the train at Silver Dollar City. Luke liked watching the cowboy "train heist" that happened right to the side of our window.
